Grants from the George T. Walker Charitable Fund of the Lehigh Valley Community Foundation

2016 Grants

On June 16, 2016 Mt. Pocono United Methodist Church was issued a check in the amount of $21,000 from the George T. Walker Charitable Fund of the Lehigh Valley Community Foundation.

The check represents grants for the following purposes:

  • $11,000 for Mortgage payment
  • $10,000 for Choir Director/Organist

Approval was given for multi-year grants in the amount of $33,000 for the mortgage payment and $50,000 for the Choir Director and Organist salary. This check we have received is for the first year of these multi-year grants.

We are very grateful to the George T. Walker Charitable Fund of the Lehigh Valley Community Foundation for these grants, and pray for their continued success.

2015 Grants

On Wednesday, June 24, 2015 Mt. Pocono United Methodist Church received a check in the amount of $43,000 from the George T. Walker Charitable Fund of the Lehigh Valley Community Foundation.

The check represents grants restricted as follows:

  • $20,000 for mortgage reduction, 
  • $11,000 for maintaining reinstated staff salaries, and
  • $12,000 to reinstate the staff music director.

We are grateful to the George T. Walker Charitable Fund of the Lehigh Valley Community Foundation for these grants and pray for the continued success of the Community Foundation.
